he Institute of Mechanical Engineers NUST Student Chapter (IMechE NSC) is organizing the Abul Kalam Design Challenge, a competition structured along the lines of the National Design Challenge run by IMechE UK.
The challenge involves the application of engineering knowledge, creativity and problem-solving skills to a certain problem, and requires participants to design and fabricate a device that completes the prescribed challenge with the best performance among all competing teams!
This challenge is open only to FRESHMEN students from all universities. This is an excellent opportunity for them to develop their problem-solving and team-management skills and get some valuable hands-on experience, while working on a fun and rewarding project!
This year’s challenge: Build an Internal Pipe Climber Robot! A device that can climb a 10.5cm diameter transparent pipe from the inside, and do that as quickly as possible!

Registration fees:
Teams that do not require accommodation: Rs.250
Teams that require accommodation: Rs.1500
Number of Team members: 4-5
