Dear All,
As you know the Internet service is not smooth nowadays. The cause lies in use of HTTPS-based access of restricted websites, which results in bandwidth chocking. In order to control this bypass being used by students, NUST ICT Dte were activated SSL-based URL filtering.
Therefore, Every user required to installed SSL file (attached) on their computer system’s and laptop’s otherwise browser shows SSL error.
For installing attached SSL file please use following steps:
1. Download Attached file “Fortiner_CA_SSLProxy.cer".
2. Close all browser.
3. Double click downloaded file for opening.
4. A window open name Certificate.
5. Single click on “Install Certificate” button.
6. A window open name Certificate Import Wizard.
7. Click Next Button.
8. Select “Place all certificates in the following store” and click “Browse…” button.
9. A window open name “Select Certificate Store”.
10. Select “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” and click OK.
11. If Massage or Warning Shows Just click OK or Yes.
12. Click Next button and then click Finish button.
13. Repeat Step 5 to Step 9.
14. Select “Enterprise Trust” and click OK.
15. If Massage or Warning Shows Just click OK or Yes.
16. Click Next button and then click Finish button.
17. Repeat Step 5 to Step 9.
18. Select “Intermediate Certification Authorities” and click OK.
19. If Massage or Warning Shows Just click OK or Yes.
20. Click Next button and then click Finish button.
21. Repeat Step 5 to Step 9.
22. Select “Trusted Publishers” and click OK.
23. If Massage or Warning Shows Just click OK or Yes.
24. Click Next button and then click Finish button.
25. Click OK Button.
26. Restart Computer or laptop.
If still not Mozila Firefox works then manual installation require. Use Following steps for manual installation:
1. Open Mozila Firefox.
2. Click Alt key for showing Menu Click Tools and Options.
3. Select Advanced Tab.
4. In Advanced Tab select Certificates Tab.
5. Click “View Certificates” button.
6. A window open name “Certificate Manager”.
7. Click Authorities Tab.
8. In Authorities Tab click “Import…” button.
9. Select downloaded file and click ok.
10. A window open name “Downloading Certificate”.
11. Select all three “Trust this CA to identify websites.”, “Trust this CA to identify email users.” And “Trust this CA to identify software developers.” And click OK.
12. Click All OK and restart your Computer or Laptop.
